SURGICAL SUTURING DEVICE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2161450 C1

FIELD: medical engineering, particularly, apparatuses for joining of tissues. SUBSTANCE: surgical suturing device has body which consists of carrying member with longitudinal recess and window, fixed handle and holder. The latter accommodates suturing unit, clamp pusher in the form of movable plate with recess in its lower part facing suturing unit and window, drive of clamp pusher in the form of movable handle with constructed working end and axial fastening member, spring, removable holder with clamps and joining units made for possible multiple mounting. Recess of carrying member is located on its outer side and has varying depth. Larger depth is in its middle and upper parts, and smaller depth is on section at suturing unit. Recess walls on boundary of its upper and middle parts have transverse protrusions and longitudinal slots. Slots are located along entire length and window is located in recess bottom under transverse slots. Movable plate of clamp pusher is flat and variable in thickness, with smaller thickness facing suturing unit and equal in this section to thickness of clamp. Window in plate is located on boundary of its upper and middle parts. Plate of clamp pusher is installed in slots of longitudinal walls of carrying member for overlapping of recess, longitudinal displacement in slots and location of window in it coaxially to transverse projection in neutral position of movable handle. Spring is made helical and consists of two parts, one of which is located in recess upper part, while the other, in its middle part. Spring ends facing each other thrust corresponding ends of transverse projections on recess walls. Working constricted end of movable handle is of constant cross-section over its entire length and with thickness corresponding to width of transverse projections of carrying member. Working constricted end of movable handle is passed through window in recess bottom located between facing each other spring parts ends introduced into window of pusher movable plate and produces beyond its limits. Movable handle on side facing fixed handle has limiting protrusion which thrusts fixed handle when movable handle is pressed. EFFECT: simple manufacture, assembly-disassembly in service, improved conditions of washing and sterilization, more reliable asepsis, higher operating reliability and prolonged service life. 4 cl, 10 dwg
