FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: described are new 10-deacety-14-beta-hydroxybaccatin III of formula I: wherein X is >C= S,>C=NH or >S=0; OR₁, alpha or beta oriented, is hydroxy, alkylsilyloxy (preferably triethyl silyloxy, O-TES), R₂ is alpha or beta oriented hydroxy group or Troc group Troc is Cl₃CCH₂COO or with carbon atom to which it is attached, forms keto group: R₃ is isoserine residue of formula II: wherein R₄ is linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms; R₅ is alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms or tert-butoxy group. New derivatives have cytotoxic or antitumor activity. Also described are method of preparing said derivatives and compositions comprising said compounds.
