FIELD: engine manufacture. SUBSTANCE: fuel injector has valve body provided with valve seat at its combustion-chamber side and spring-loaded valve diaphragm forming valve section with its edge held in position relative to valve body and used to separate delivery chamber filled with high-pressure fuel from atomizer flow section running to engine combustion chamber. Valve diaphragm abutting against valve seat through its valve-section sealing surface with interference fit is mounted for rising off the valve seat under action of fuel high pressure in delivery chamber. Diaphragm forms movable switching section that records admission stroke of electrical transducer valve for recording commencement and end of injection; to this end, diaphragm is made engaged with at least one fixed thrust contact surface placed at potential other than that across valve diaphragm. EFFECT: improved precision of identifying injection time and amount of fuel injected. 12 cl, 3 dwg
