FIELD: call processing in a cellular system. SUBSTANCE: the method gives priority to the first call by order in a regular succession, when the base station has no resources of radio communication channels that are intended for allocation. The base station determines whether there is an additional radio communication channel, and picks out this channel of the mobile station, if there is an additional radio communication channel. If no additional radio communication channel is available, the base station keeps the characteristic number for the mobile station that has inquired the initiation of a call in the memory operating according to the "first-in-first-out" (FIFO) principle and starts the timer for saving of information on a call. The base station, for which the information on a call is being saved, informs on the address, where the information on a call is stored in the memory for the mobile station, and waits for appearance of an additional radio communication channel. If the additional radio communication channel fails to appear before the time set by the timer is expired, the base station determines that a call can not be accomplished, and eliminates the information on a call from the memory. If the additional radio communication channel appears before the time set by the timer is expired, the base station sends a command for a repeated initiation of a call to the mobile station, and allots a radio communication channel to the mobile station for a call after reception of a repeated initiation call from the mobile station. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 21 cl, 5 dwg
