FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: steel body treatment method involves activating surface of steel body to improve adhesion of steel body to composition containing at least one rubber component; treating steel body surface with at least one basic silane to provide formation of film composed of at least one silane; providing close contacting of treated surface of steel body with composition. Steel body has at least one surface made from stainless steel containing, % by weight: carbon 0.02-0.2; nickel 3-20; chromium 12-28. Total amount of nickel and chromium is at least 20% wt and does not exceed 35% wt. Steel structure includes at least 20% wt of martensite and is free from austenite or contains less than 80% by weight of austenite. Method of glueing steel body to composition involves treating surface of body by above mentioned method; providing contacting of this surface with composition; allowing the surface to be hardened. Methods described allow metal bodies, such as stiffening parts, metal filaments, rods, to be glued to rubber articles, such as tubes, webs, drive belts, pneumatic casings. Method allows usage of metaloorganic compositions to be eliminated. EFFECT: wider range of articles produced by methods and improved adhesion of bodies made from stainless steel to rubber compositions. 22 cl
