FIELD: tyre industry; tyres reinforced by metal fiber. SUBSTANCE: stainless steel fiber for tyre carcass contains not less than 0.02% and not more than 0.2% of carbon, not less than 3% and not more than 20% of nickel, and not less than 12 % and not more than 28 % of chromium. Sum of nickel and chromium is equal to 20 % and not higher than 35% (mass %). Steel structure contains at least 20% (by volume) of martensite, it does not includes austenite or contains less than 80% of austenite by volume. Tyre has carcass made of such fiber.
