HORIZONTAL PUMPING UNIT Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: oil producing industry. SUBSTANCE: horizontal pumping unit is designed for pumping liquid used in system to maintain formation pressure. Pumping unit has electric motor, inlet module and horizontal centrifugal pump coupled with suction and delivery units, all mounted on support frame. Horizontal centrifugal pump is made sectional, with possibility of selection of stages to provided required head. First section of pump is combined with inlet module unit and is mounted on common shaft with module, shaft being sealed at motor side by end seal. Thrust unit is installed in inlet module unit. Inlet module has two additional radial bearings. They rigidly fix the shaft in radial direction and preclude its runout. EFFECT: improved operation reliability and increased service life of plant owing to dispensing with some connecting members. 1 dwg
