METHOD DETERMINING GRADE, CURVATURE, ROUGHNESS AND ADHESION FACTOR OF PAVEMENT AND GEAR FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: invention is related in particular to determination of profile of surface of pavement with use of motor vehicles traveling along its profile, for example, during construction or use of roads. Acceleration of automobile is measured in its uncushioned part. In addition acceleration is measured in direction of normal to datum plane of automobile determined by direction of movement of automobile along road and transverse to it. Position of datum plane of automobile during movement is oriented in geographical system of coordinates with accompanying triangle along geographical vertical along tangent line to meridian to the North and along tangent line to parallel to the East. Angles of grade of profile of roadbed in longitudinal and lateral directions, curvature, roughness and adhesion factor of pavement are found by way of processing of signals of values of accelerations and angular speed with due account of corrections of angles of grade of datum plane in geographical system of coordinates for instability of speed of movement of automobile with simultaneous reference of coordinates of measurement points to profile of road by signals of satellite navigation system and odometer. Gear for implementation of method employs satellite navigation system with control over linear speed with antenna and receiver being installed on automobile. Transducer of covered distance is manufactured in the form of odometer. Aid determining parameters of profile of surface of roadbed and parameters of travel of automobile comes in the form of inertial unit made fast to rear beam of suspension of wheels of automobile. This unit is made of rectangular case with one of its symmetry axis being oriented along direction of movement of automobile, electric connector for connection to power supply unit and personal computer, electronic unit, gyro, unit of three accelerometers positioned orthogonally and temperature-sensitive element anchored in case in sequence along this axis. Sensitivity axis of first accelerometer is oriented along mentioned-above symmetry axis of rectangular case, sensitivity axis of second accelerometer is oriented along axis of rear beam of suspension of wheels of automobile and sensitivity axes of third accelerometer and of gyro are oriented along normal to plane of positioning of sensitivity axes of first and second accelerometers. EFFECT: provision for increase of accuracy and authenticity of measurement results thanks to simplified method of determination and calibration of initial line of reading, substantial expansion of functional capabilities with employment of minimal number of transducers of measured parameters with simultaneous simplification of structural system of gear and software. 3 cl, 4 dwg
