FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment, in particular to determination of longitudinal evenness of road surface using mobile objects or vehicles moving on roadway, and can be used in determining the evenness of the surface of an aerodrome coating. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that the excess during the time T at a given measurement interval is determined relative to the conditional horizon, deviating from the true horizon by the value of the gyroscopic system axis drift during the specified time T. Angular position of the axis of the movable object is determined relative to the specified conditional horizon and conditional exceedances are calculated, after the specified time T the movement is stopped and determining the amplitude values of irregularities at each measurement interval as the difference of the average measured conditional excess for each measurement interval and the average calculated conditional excess, obtained as the average excess of the start and end points of each measurement interval. Then, the position of the axis of the gyroscopic system is corrected to exclude the drift of the axis of the gyroscopic system; the measurement process is similarly repeated at all subsequent measurement intervals of the motor road.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of measurements.
