FIELD: analysis of poorly absorbing condensed media in liquid chromatography. SUBSTANCE: laser photoacoustic detector for liquid chromatography includes laser, photoacoustic cell with medium to be analyzed to convert laser radiation to acoustic signal. Cell comes in the form of capillary and has elements transmitting laser radiation. Piezoelectric converter is located under face of cell on its axis at some distance. Elements transmitting laser radiation are formed by walls of cell and are produced from material transparent to laser radiation. Axis of photoacoustic cell is positioned at angle to direction of laser radiation. EFFECT: raised sensitivity of detector thanks to elimination of effect of background signals, increased efficiency of conversion of laser radiation to acoustic signal, simplified design of detector. 3 cl, 3 dwg
