GEAR FOR LASER OPTICOACOUSTIC DETECTION OF IMPURITIES IN LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2162220 C1

FIELD: analysis of trace amounts of substances in liquid media. SUBSTANCE: proposed gear incorporates pulse gas laser, opticoacoustic cell in the form of capillary with elements transmitting laser radiation, piezoelectric converter and recording unit coupled to it. Laser is made of former of stable voltage pulses, electrode connected to output of this former and located on dielectric case, electromagnetic screen embracing this case and dielectric tubes. Tubes are positioned in dielectric case on both sides of symmetry axis of laser at some distance from butt of electrode. Axes of dielectric tubes match in pairs and are perpendicular to symmetry axis of laser. Axis of opticoacoustic cell is perpendicular to laser radiation. Piezoelectric converter is located under face of opticoacoustic cell on its axis without contact with it. EFFECT: raised sensitivity of gear, eliminated background signals from elements of opticoacoustic cell, enhanced stability of laser radiation in process of analysis of poorly absorbing liquid media, expanded capabilities for detection of solutions of substances in subbackground region of concentrations. 8 cl, 2 dwg
