FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: process of measurement of bearing errors of antenna-fairing system consists in measurement of angular displacement of electrical axis of antenna over specified angle of turn of rotary gear with fairing with regard to initial position of electrical axis of antenna without fairing and in determination of dependence of bearing errors on angle of turn of rotary gear with fairing. In this case dependence of angular displacement of electrical axis of antenna on angle of turn of rotary gear without fairing is found, component of angular displacement of electrical axis of antenna introduced by rotary gear at various angles of turn is brought out of this dependence by exclusion of fluctuation component of angular displacement of electrical axis introduced by diffraction of electromagnetic waves. Then dependence of bearing errors of antenna-fairing system on angle of turn of rotary gear is corrected by way of subtraction of isolated component of angular displacement of electrical axis of antenna introduced by rotary gear across specified angle of turn of rotary gear with fairing from measured angular displacement of electrical axis of antenna across same angle of turn.
