FIELD: methods and reactors for production of allyl halide. SUBSTANCE: reaction is conducted with molar ratio of propylene and molecular halide at least of 2.5: 1 at temperature from 400 to 525 C. Reaction is effected in zone presenting a continuous stirred reactor with subsequent supply of reaction mixture to zone presenting an ideal displacement reactor where reaction proceeds up to full reaction of molecular halide. Reactor has a body with walls forming chamber including zone presenting continuous stirred reactor connected with zone of cylindrical reactor. Ratio of volume of continuous stirred reactor zone to total volume of continuous stirred reactor zone and zone of cylindrical reactor is approximately from 0.1:1 to 0.9:1. EFFECT: higher yield of desired product due to reduced decomposition of allyl halide resulting from improved stirring of reagents. 11 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl, 4 ex
