FIELD: methods of continuous uniform application of adhesive and/or hardener to such materials as wood, plastic or metal of various sizes, for instance, wood boards in furniture manufacture. SUBSTANCE: method includes continuous supply of material pieces through rolling adhesive-distributing device and continuous application of adhesive and/or hardener to at least one of piece surfaces. In so doing, material pieces are supplied between at least one pressing roller, and one or more rollers applying adhesive and/or hardener to piece surfaces. Pressing roller has a cylinder with flexible bristles. Adhesive and/or hardener is uniformly applied to surface of surfaces of material. In so doing, bristles bend when coming in contact with surface of all pieces of material with various sizes in height. Device for the method embodiment has means for supply of material pieces, one or more rollers for application of adhesive, means for supply of adhesive and/or hardener to each adhesive applying roller and at least one flexible pressing roller.
