FIELD: technological and geological study and concentration of mineral raw materials, separation of particles of raw material into fractions by means of vertical gas flow whose velocity is decreased stepwise with motion of flow. SUBSTANCE: use is made of working chamber where raw material particles are subjected to disintegration due to impact of particles against working members radially mounted on rotor and against stator surface; then they are directed to vertical gas flow by means of gas duct where velocity of raw material particles is equalized with velocity of gas flow where they are contained. Then, flow enters vertical chambers of classifier whose diameters increase stepwise. Depending on size, specific gravity and from of particles, they are concentrated in definite chamber of classifier where particles lower to low portion of chamber under gravitational forces and after it they enter special fraction accumulating wells. Outlet chamber of classifier is provided with gas filter for removal of light particles. EFFECT: improved quality and increased productivity of classification. 9 cl, 1 dwg
