FIELD: wet separation of hard materials; processing and investigation of minerals. SUBSTANCE: pulp with powdered material to be classified is fed into the upper part of inclined transversely reciprocating narrowing chute. The fed pulp segregates according to specific weight of fractions. In the discharge part of the chute light fraction flows out through the holes in the side walls of the chute, heavy fraction flows out through the slots in the chute bottom and medium fraction pours out through the hole in the cross partition positioned on the lower end of the chute. Longitudinal motion with negative acceleration used in addition to the reciprocating motion makes it possible to classify finely divided material by specific weight, while periodical feed of the initial material as well as periodic removal of the concentrate from the chute provides for obtaining high quality concentrate. EFFECT: high quality of end product. 3 cl, 2 dwg
