FIELD: separation of solids.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises supplying liquid with initial material to the top section of the sloping surface with obstacles arranged at its edge, causing the pulp to flow in a given direction, separating the particles of the initial material into fractions by reciprocating the surface, discharging the fractions produced in the bottom section of the surface, and choosing the optimal conditions for the classification. The directed flow of pulp is generated by the use of the limitation of the height of the pulp flow in the bottom section of the sloping surface by means of seal mounted above the obstacles and projecting the part of the sloping surface upward through the outlet sealing pipe. The flow rate of the pulp discharging from the outlet sealed pipe is controlled by means of its outlet opening, distance between the seal to the surface, amount of pulp supplied to the surface, and angle of inclination of outlet sealed pipe to horizon.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of classification.
