FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is designed for draining industrial areas and territories which ground waters are contaminated with oil products. The method includes construction of internal embankment from mineral ground over perimeter of zone to be cleaned; construction of external embankment at some distance from internal embankment; construction of curtain grouting passing through internal embankment to depth below foot of formed zone of oil products but not reaching the water control layer, and curtain grouting passing through external embankment to depth of water control layer occurrence. Then water is supplied to space formed by embankments and ground is saturated with water with subsequent displacement of oil products in direction of ground surface to zone of draining device operation deepened below depth of plant root layer and depth of foundations of buildings and structures.
