DEVICE FOR SEPARATION OF FINELY-DISPERSED DROPPING LIQUID FROM GAS FLOW Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2163163 C1

FIELD: cleaning gases from finely-dispersed dropping liquid; entrapping aerosols of compressor oil in compressed gases and air; fine separation of gas condensate and preparation of natural and casing-head gas in field further transportation. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has cylindrical housing with inlet branch pipe, filter element made lyophilic cermet porous material with multilayer structure, drain and gas escape branch pipes. Cylindrical filter element has front fine porous diaphragm layer applied on coarse porous diaphragm base; mounted opposite outlet cylindrical hole of filter element is separating branch pipe narrowing towards its outlet hole brought out through housing; ratio of diameters of outlet hole and filter element shall be between 3 and 10; ratio of geometric cross- section areas of inlet hole of separating branch pipe and outlet hole of filter element ranges from 3 to 6; distance between them shall by between 0.25 and 4.0 of diameter of filter element outlet hole and length of filter element is equal to 5 to 50 diameters of its outlet hole. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of entrapping finely-dispersed drops; reduced secondary entrainment of entrapped liquid. 1 dwg
