FIELD: rolled stock production, namely vertical and combination type stands of bar and billet rolling mills. SUBSTANCE: multistrand vertical stand includes changeable stand arranged in strut and having chocks of rolling rolls; mechanism for vertical motion having screw-nut pair, worm reducer and electric motor; and also combination-type reduction gear with main-drive electric motor having lower horizontal and two vertical casings. Screw of mechanism for vertical motion of frame is arranged along vertical central axis of frame inside it, nut joined with said screw is mounted in cross piece of frame. Worm reducer is mounted in lower horizontal casing of combination type reduction gear; its output shaft is joined with screw of mechanism for vertical motion of frame by means of clutch with spherical bearing members. EFFECT: reduced vertical size of vertical stand, its enhanced reliability, increased useful life period, simplified maintenance of stand. 3 dwg
