FIELD: organic chemistry, cattle breeding. SUBSTANCE: invention describes the novel salt of the following general formula: RaMbHcPO4nH2O where R means cationic lysine; M means magnesium ion; a = 0.05-1; b = 1-1.47; c = 0-0.3 under condition that a, b and c in common correspond to the equation: a + (2 x b) + c = 3 and n = 0-10. Invention describes also an additive composition that contains this salt useful as a fodder for ruminant mammals. This additive composition improves the nutrient value of fodder owing to the presence of the basic amino acid lysine that is absent often in fodder for ruminant mammals. EFFECT: new chelate salt indicated above, improved nutrient value of fodder. 10 cl, 5 dwg, 3 tbl, 21 ex
