FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves performing liquid treatment of woolen fabric by providing preliminary impregnation, fulling, washing off and rinsing in twisting machines by effectuating succession of stages, such as washing off, small water amount, average water amount, large water amount stages. Washing at average water amount stage is performed by additionally exposing washing solution to ultrasonic oscillations and providing free displacement of fabric bundles in washing solution. Ultrasonic frequency oscillations cause cavitation in washing solution to facilitate destruction of diffusion boundary layer and, as a result, intensified mass exchange of washing process. EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced total time of washing process, wider range of woolen fabrics that may be subjected to washing process and improved quality of woolen fabric. 1 dwg, 2 tbl
