FIELD: heat and power engineering; chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus may be used for performing the processes of gas cleaning and mass and heat exchange during endothermal and exothermal reactions with participation of liquid and gaseous media in any branch of national economy. Honeycomb foam apparatus can operate at height of foam layer from 80-100 mm to 3-4 m and more. Size of height may be limited either by sufficiently optimal conditions of said process performance or by power of draught equipment. Apparatus has a body, reaction chamber, separator, grid, overflow device, tray, gas-inlet branch pipes, honeycomb grid, and heat exchanger. Horizontally positioned perforated sheet with holes of round or any other form arranged uniformly serves as a grid. Gas-inlet branch pipes of form similar in plan and of preset height are coupled to the holes tightly from the top. Gas-removing branch pipe is placed in center of every cell of honeycomb grid. Height of branch pipe is equal to tray depth and lower part of honeycomb grid plates is submerged under liquid level in tray. Diffuser is mounted above reaction chamber of the apparatus. Gas-flow moving stabilizer controlled by hoisting-and-lowering mechanism is installed in center of diffuser. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 7 cl, 5 dwg
