FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: device for production of liquid iron has roasting furnace as heat source for roasting in which high-temperature reducing gas is used from smelting chamber in the form of gas generator. High-temperature reducing gas passing through roasting furnace in which fluxing additives are roasted cools from 1000-1100 C to optimal reducing temperature in shaft furnace of 800-850 C. Roasting furnace is connected by pipelines for supply of roasted fluxing additives to shaft furnace and smelting chamber in the form of gas generator and also connected by means of pipelines for supply of hot reducing gas with smelting chamber in the form of gas generator after cyclone, and shaft furnace in which preliminary reduction of iron ore is performed. Realization of the invention results in higher efficiency of liquid iron production and high thermal efficiency as it does not need separate device for cooling of hot gas from smelting chamber in the form of gas generator. In addition, exclusion of separate cooler using water and separate compressor simplifies the unit for production of liquid iron. EFFECT: HIGHER EFFICIENCY. 10 CL, 5 DWG
