FIELD: medicine, in particular, revivification, neurosurgery, traumatology. SUBSTANCE: for prophylaxis of complications the lungs are subjected daily to radiation at the level of bifurcation of the trachea by a semiconductor laser with a wavelength of 830 nm, 8-mW power, with an exposure of 5 min, course of 5 procedures, subsequently daily 4 procedures of radiation by a helium-neon laser with a wavelength of 630 nm, 8-mW power, with an exposure of 5 min. During treatment the course of radiation by the semiconductor laser is increased up to 6 procedures, then 6 procedures are conducted with the use of the helium-neon laser. EFFECT: reduced frequency of development of pulmonary complications, reduced lethality, improved clinical results at treatment of patients with a cervicospinal trauma.
