FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; applicable in blowing-in of new blast furnaces or after their major repairs of I and II categories. SUBSTANCE: method includes charging of 0.01-0.5 volume of furnace with burden featuring high heat capacity per unit volume after ignition of coke on tuyeres and beginning of burden coming-off during charging of the second volume. Then charging of burden is continued with ore loading of 2.8-3.5 t/t up to the first tapping. Heat capacity per unit volume is increased by increasing ore-flux batches in charging and increased fraction of materials with high heat capacity per unit volume in ore-flux batches. EFFECT: reduced consumption of coke in blowing-in period, prevented overheating of top gases and equipment of furnace top, reduced time for attaining working parameters of blast furnaces. 3 cl, 2 dwg
