FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: engine has cylinder block with cylinder liners, each provided with fire flange with upper plane and support flange, cylinder heads with ring grooves accommodating stepped metal rings. Lower step of ring is in contact with flat round projection of support flange of cylinder liner forming gasketless gas joint. Upper step is located at one level with plane of cylinder head. "Harmful" volume is formed by bottom of cylinder head, lower surfaces of stepped ring, fire flange and groove separating support and fire flanges of liner. Sealing ring in form of simplified shape blank made of plastic heat-resistant material is placed on surface of stepped metal ring and is formed to profile of "harmful" volume section in process of assembling. EFFECT: reduced fuel consumption, simplified filling-in of "harmful" volume in process of engine assembling. 2 dwg
