SUBSTANCE: claimed steel comprises, wt %: carbon, 0.23-0.35; silicon, 0.95-1.1; manganese, 0.6-0.7; chromium, 0.8-0.95; nickel, 0.9-1.1; vanadium, 0.05-0.15; tungsten, 0.6- 0.75; calcium, 0.001-0.35; phosphorus, 0.001-0.005; sulfur 0.001-0.05, and iron, the balance. EFFECT: greater resistance of cutting tools, e.g. knives due to higher impact viscosity in combination with high hardness and wear resistance. 1 tbl
