FIELD: power engineering; air and road vehicles. SUBSTANCE: proposed internal combustion piston engine has housing, cylinder block and pistons arranged in cylinders. Connecting rods are connected by cylindrical joints with pistons and swinging outer frame-rocker installed on inclined plate of oblique crank on engine output shaft. Each connecting rod is made in form of eccentric shaft, eccentricity "e", meeting the following conditions: where α is distance between engine axis and connecting rod attachment axis measured along rocker; d is offset of engine: αmax is maximum crank inclination angle. Pistons can be made stepped and provided with rods installed in supports. Supports are brought out of fuel charge burning zone and are secured on housing. EFFECT: increased efficiency and economy and service life of engine by elimination of side pressure of piston onto cylinder walls and their contact engagement, improved reliability. 2 cl, 2 dwg
