FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine can be used as power plant and for hydrogen production. Engine has rotor in form of beam on ends of which two similar hydrojet pulsating propellers are installed. Propellers are turned through 190 degrees relative to each other. Each propeller has water intake pipe with intake valve and shutoff cock, outlet nozzle with outlet controlled valve and water pass housing placed in between. Housing accommodates gas generators installed in several rows whose rotating elements are mechanically connected, together with shutoff cock and outlet controlled valves drive mechanisms, with engine control system. Each gas generator is automatically opening and closing container accommodating active members made of metal of cerium and yttrium groups of lanthanides family. Rotor is connected also with output shaft of engine by vertical shaft through reduction gear. Working medium of engine is gas-water mixture. Engine proper is installed inside reservoir filled with water and closed by cover. Reservoir is provided with outlet pipe and device to maintain constant level of water. Engine should be furnished with active member cleaning device. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities, increased service life, reduced weight and usage of metal. 5 cl, 19 dwg
