FIELD: shipbuilding; shipboard propulsors. SUBSTANCE: hydro-jet pulsating propulsor includes water flow passage with gas generators mounted inside it; gas generators are kinematically linked with control mechanism and are located in several rows along entire length of passage; they are similar in construction. Each gas generator is made in form of ┴shaped rod with two side grooves in which inserts are pressed; these inserts are made from metals belonging to cerium and yttrium groups of lanthanides family. Sleeve fitted on rod at the top is turnable through 90 deg. and is provided with two side through grooves. Water intake pipe connected with front part of water flow passage is provided with inlet valve and shut-off cock; exhaust nozzle connected with rear part of water flow passage is provided with shut-off cock and exhaust adjustable valve.
