INTERTUBULAR MULTI-CHANNEL PROFILOMETER Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2164661 C1

FIELD: check of interior of oil and gas lines. SUBSTANCE: sensitive lever belt secured on profilometer body is pressed to inner surface of pipe line. Profilometer body contains data processing and storage units, odometric system and electromagnetic marker transmitter for determination of position of flaw detector inside pipe line. Deflection of levers is measured by means of angle turn sensors on base of Hall elements at simultaneous measurement of sensor temperature. Use is made of Hall sensors at cutoff frequency of bandwidth by magnetic field no less than 200 Hz. Two elastic collars fitted before sensitive lever belt tightly fay pipe line surface. Area between first and second collars is communicated with area after second collar via through holes available in collar and/or in body. Check of temperature of Hall elements makes it possible to introduce corrections into data obtained during measurements. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and stability of measurements. 16 cl, 4 dwg
