FIELD: non-destructive testing of pipes.

SUBSTANCE: flaw detector has housing provided with collars and pickups and means for measuring and processing of the data of measurements. A number of pickup holders are arranged over the periphery of the flaw detector. The holders have the slides for sliding over the inner side of a pipeline. The slides receive several pickups. The holder is made of several flexible links of different rigidity. The pickup holders of one belt of the pickup holders are rigidly linked to the holders of the adjacent belt of pickups. The signals from the pickups are digitized and recorded in the memory of the board computer.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
