FIELD: methods of application of diffusion aluminide coatings to articles. SUBSTANCE: method includes accumulation on article surface of elements alloying the coating. In so doing, specific increment of weight ΔMi of each element per article surface unit is selected from relation ΔM = δiρh, where δi is fraction of total weight i of alloying element in coating; ρ is density of coating material; h is thickness of coating. The method also includes preliminary preparation of article for coating; delivery to zone of article treatment of article proper and aluminum-base alloy; evacuation of zone of article treatment; supply of negative potential to article and separately to aluminum-base alloy; striking of vacuum arc on aluminum-base alloy and its arcing in vapors of this alloy to form plasma of aluminum-base alloy; alloy ion bombardment of article surface; cleaning and heating of article surface with ions of alloy plasma; diffusion and accumulation of the alloy on article surface and subsequent vacuum annealing of article with formation of aluminide coating. Accumulation of elements alloying the coating is effected by ion deposition or by ion deposition and subsequent vacuum annealing. Accumulation of elements alloying the coating is performed from alloy based on element comprising base of coating. EFFECT: higher efficiency due to provision of complex alloying of diffusion aluminide coatings with elements featuring low solubility in nickel monoaluminide to considerably raise the service life of blades after treatment by the claimed method. 4 cl, 4 ex
