FIELD: manufacture of gas turbines for aircrafts and power plants. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preliminarily preparing surface of article, placing article and current conductive material in working zone; vacuumizing working zone; applying negative potential to article and separately to current conductive material; exciting on current conductive material vacuum electric arc burning in vapors of current conductive material with generation of plasma of current conductive material; bombarding article surface with ions of current conductive material for cleaning and heating article surface by means of ions; providing diffusion and accumulation of ions of current conductive material onto surface of article due to modifying and alloying its surface with ions of said material being modifier in temperature range of article surface from temperature value at which ion diffusion rate of modifier particles into article material becomes higher than rate of ion etching of article surface until temperature of softening article material in vacuum. Heating temperature of article surface is controlled by changing negative potential of article and electric current value in gap of vacuum electric arc.
