FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: the method provides for formation of aluminide coating on the product in the vacuum arc plasma burning in vapors of aluminium-based alloy at bombardment of the product surface by ions of the aluminium-based alloy plasma and additional heating of the treated product up to diffusion and accumulation of the aluminium- based alloy on the product surface at a constant negative potential across the product, selected within the range from the melting potential to potential ϕ=(-50)V = (-50)V. EFFECT: enhanced rate of aluminium accumulation on the product surface, which allows the productivity of the process of formation of aluminide coating to be increased by more than two times.
