FIELD: automotive industry, steering gears with servo mechanisms. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the capacity of transmitter for contactless measurement of torque of steering shaft in control system of electromechanical amplifier of steering wheel. Generator of torque of shaft has torsion shaft, body housing forms of inductance coils with windings and screens with perforated windows. Parts of shafts are joined by torsion shaft. Screens coming in the form of discs are positioned close to butts of parts of shaft facing each other. Windows in rows of first screen are displaced. Row of windows of second screen covers by width both rows of windows of first screen. Forms of inductance coils are sectional and has form of disc bordering on one of screens and that is spring-loaded relative to body. First winding is dropped in annular groove of one part of sectional form. Second winding is dropped in annular groove of another part of sectional form. Both parts are so interconnected that both grooves are positioned at least partially in plane perpendicular to axis of tested shaft and concentric on specified shaft.
