FIELD: polymer production. SUBSTANCE: continuous suspension or gas-phase polymerization of olefin(s) involving transition metal compound with bulky ligand as catalyst, optionally in presence of small amounts (up to 10 ppm based on total recirculation stream) of cleaning component, is carried out in reactors in presence of metallocene catalytic system. Output of rector is higher than 500 lbs/h (227 kg/h), preferably up to 200000 lbs/h of polymer product. Multistage process is also carried out in fluidized-bed reactors for continuous gas-phase or suspension polymerization of C2-C20-alpha-olefins or copolymerization of one or several alpha-olefins with other alpha-olefin, cycloolefins, styrene, polar vinyl monomers, diolefins, polyenes, norbornenes, norbornadiene, acetylenic, and aldehyde monomers. The following stages are performed: feeding recirculation monomer stream into reactor, introducing metallocene catalytic system, introducing cleaning agent in amounts less than 300 ppm followed by stopping its introduction and/or introducing such amount thereof which ensures less than 50 ppm of C14-C18-oligomers in polymer. Process is completed by following stages: discharge, cooling, addition of supplementary amounts of monomer(s) into stream, feeding it into reactor and discharging polymer product with velocity higher than 500 lbs/h, preferably up to 20000 lbs/h.
