FIELD: construction engineering; fabrication of glass blocks for glazing windows of industrial and residential buildings. SUBSTANCE: glass block has at least two glass plates spaced apart and joined by sealed joint over perimeter, transparent current-conducting coating applied to inner surface of at least one of glass plates. There are conductors with connecting leads on current-conducting coating on two opposing sides of glass plate at or in vicinity of sealed joint. Resistance of conductors Rcond is chosen from equation Rcond< Rcoaf/100,, where Rcoaf is conductor-to-conductor resistance of current-conducting coating. EFFECT: improved comfort due to elimination of cold air circulation in building. 3 cl, 2 dwg, 2 ex
