FIELD: repair of gas pipelines. SUBSTANCE: device has tubular member 3 for coupling with front end of inserted pipe or for formation of its front end. Device also has compressible seal 6 for expansion in radial direction when it is compressed in longitudinal direction and installed on tubular member. In this case, seal moves easily along with tubular member in direction of inserted pipe feed. When pipe to be inserted is moved in direction opposite to direction of feed seal is stopped, compressed in longitudinal direction and expanded in radial direction for engagement with internal wall of main pipe and for space sealing (Fig. 2).
