FIELD: repair of pipes. SUBSTANCE: sealant is fed to available pipe behind its end. Seal may be turned through manipulation of elongated unit breaking the threads. Body of seal is thrown into engagement with end of pipe. Plastic pipe is inserted into pipe to be repaired till steel end-piece gets engaged with end of seal unit having form of truncated cone, thus closing the electric contacts furnishing the signal on proper position of plastic pipe. Space between pipe to be repaired and plastic pipe is filled with sealant. Elongated unit is withdrawn afterwards. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of pipe repair. 18 cl, 22 dwg
