FIELD: illuminated signs and their boards. SUBSTANCE: edge-illuminated sign has light source and transparent sheet one of whose edges is placed near light source. The latter passes light beam along transparent sheet whose front surface carries displaying layer provided with backward-directed reflecting surface and whose rear surface has rear display layer which actually coincides with front one.
