FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: lamp (1) includes generating and amplifying source (2) of microwave energy. The source passes microwaves through matching circuit (3) to antenna (4) passing to return part (5) in transparent waveguide (6). Waveguide is made from quartz and has central cavity (7), in which bulb (8) is arranged. Bulb is sealed tube (9) from quartz and includes filling from inert gas and microwave excited material that emits the light when it is excited with microwaves. Bulb has foot (10) that enters hole (11) of the foot, which passes from a central cavity. Waveguide is transparent; with that, light from the bulb can be emitted in any direction, thus being subject to action of any reflecting surfaces. Microwaves cannot be emitted by the waveguide that is restricted on its surfaces with a faraday cage. Usually, the waveguide includes coating (12) from indium and tin oxide on the front side of the waveguide, light-reflecting coating (10), usually from silver with coating layer (13) from silicon monoxide on the rear side, and wire mesh (14) that contacts both the indium and tin oxide coating and the light-reflecting coating, and its is earthed; with that, wire mesh passes around sides of the waveguide between the front and the rear surfaces. Light can pass through wire mesh in radial direction for its collection and use.
EFFECT: increasing light emission.
