SIMULATED THERMAL LOOP Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2165655 C1

FIELD: measuring heat power of thermionic fuel elements in heat-to-power conversion. SUBSTANCE: insert made of material possessing high neutron-absorbing sectional area such as boron or its compounds is placed inside simulated thermal loop between two adjacent integral heat flow calorimeters with fuel-emitter unit of thermionic power-generating assembly inserted in mentioned heat flow. EFFECT: reduced fissionable material requirement and cost of simulated loop; facilitated recovery of spent loop. 3 cl, 1 dwg
