FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: method includes additional measurement of temperature on buttend part of power-generating cell can at outlet of fissionable gaseous products escaping from cell. Pressure of fissionable gaseous products in cooling system of power-generating cell is measured. Maximal temperature is measured in power-generating cell and service period of cooling system of thermionic power-generating cell is predicted using proposed equation.
