HORIZONTAL AMPLIFIER Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2165680 C2

FIELD: power supplies for cathode-ray tubes and color picture tubes in television. SUBSTANCE: horizontal amplifier has autotransformer, set of capacitors, first switching device for selective connection of capacitors to autotransformer leads, deflecting coil exciter for passing current to autotransformer, power source for applying dc voltage to capacitors and to deflecting coil exciter, microprocessor for controlling first switching device and for supplying control signal to protective gear to apply dc voltage across the latter for the time being before changing over first switching device. Proposed design provides for preventing failure of circuit components due to in-rush currents occurring when deflecting coil is connected to capacitor through switching device. EFFECT: improved operating reliability of amplifier. 4 cl, 11 dwg
