FIELD: foundry, designing of magnetic molds made by lost and permanent patterns. SUBSTANCE: magnetic mold has magnetizing device, magnetized molding material with working spherical cavity formed by pattern, and gating system. For making spherical castings, magnetic mold has cone-shaped members as pole pieces which are located on ferromagnetic wall of molding box, or on pole plate of magnetizing device. Point of pole piece external section of working spherical cavity and base faces pole of magnetizing device. Located between working spherical cavities in manufacture of at least pair of spherical castings are additional cone-shaped members in the form of inserts with points facing internal sections of these cavities. Axes of symmetry of cone-shaped members and axis of working spherical cavity are combined. EFFECT: eliminated rejects of molds and castings due to excluded flocculation of working spherical cavities of magnetic molds. 7 cl, 6 dwg
