FIELD: designing of process molds for evaluation of properties of alloys and molding materials and mixtures, mainly, for temporary molds. SUBSTANCE: process mold has working members in the form of wedge-like plates of different thickness with parallel location and varying distance from one another. Working members are connected with common field members containing slotted feeder, slag catcher and riser with pouring basin. Located on working members are members of shrinkage retardation. Length of working members is selected in compliance with flowability and fillability of mold channels with definite melt and alloy crack resistance, and thickness is selected in compliance with thickness of castings made of said alloy. Mold provides for evaluation of quality of manufacture of temporary molds with protrusions of different thickness, melt flowability and fillability of channels of molds of various thickness, influence of mold parameters on flat wall of casting, determination of free shrinkage of working members and conditions of appearance of hot cracks.
