MIDDLE ANCHOR UNIT CLAMP Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: electrified railways and urban transport; overhead contact systems; connection of contact wires with middle anchor cable. SUBSTANCE: clamp for middle anchor has two blocks with opposite troughs for multiple-wire conductors provided with projections made with displacement relative to each other through 0.5 of distance between projections, opposite troughs for contact wires, and bolt joints. Length of projections of troughs for multiple-wire conductors is equal to 0.07-0.105 of length of cavity. Slots are made at outlet of conductors from clamp with angle of inclination to horizontal axis equal to 10-15 deg. Cuts of height equal to 1.5 - 2.0 mm and pitch of 1.5-2.0 mm are made on troughs for contact wires. Height of projections of troughs for multiple wire conductors is equal to 1.5 - 2.0 mm. Blocks are made by not forging. EFFECT: improved heat transfer, increased zone of contact with connected wires and value of current passed through clamp, prevention of damage to coating of steel-copper wires. 3 cl, 5 dwg
