FIELD: electrified railways; contact system. SUBSTANCE: proposed method of making adapter fitting for connection of copper and aluminium wires comes to the following: blocks are made from copperaluminium - ferrous bronze by not forging at T=880-930 C and then grooves are made in blocks. Surface of groove is degreased by solvent and machined at two duties on sandblasting and shot-blasting plants with subsequent plasma deposition of aluminium layer, thickness 0.4-0.7 mm, in electromagnetic field. Cohesive force of aluminium layer and bronze is 1.6 - 2.2 kg/mm2. Plasma deposition of aluminium layer is carried out not later than 24 h after machining of groove.
